What consolidation means
Consolidation combines several received orders into one shipment. It helps when buying from different sellers or assembling a commercial consignment from multiple supplies. Silk Sky Delivery can arrange this at a warehouse in the UAE or Russia. One shipment does not necessarily mean one box: cargo may remain in several numbered packages under a shared delivery plan.
When combining orders is useful
Clothing might be ready today, accessories two days later and electronics later still. Instead of arranging three international shipments, you can wait for all orders. Savings should be calculated rather than assumed: waiting, repacking and protective materials may change the total. If one item is urgent, sending it separately may be more practical.
Organise order tracking
- List the sellers, orders and expected package counts.
- Obtain warehouse labelling instructions before dispatching purchases.
- Send domestic waybill numbers to the manager.
- Agree a cutoff date after which the shipment leaves without delayed items.
Check before combining
Compare received packages against your list. Ask whether the contents of each box need counting: receiving packages and checking a complete order are different tasks. Agree which excess packaging can be removed and which factory protection must stay. Fragile products should not simply be placed together with heavy parts in an unprotected shared package.
Final quote and dispatch
After preparation, confirm total weight, package count, packing costs and transport method. Any volumetric assessment should be clear before dispatch. Do not assume free or indefinite storage; confirm those terms separately. Provide the purchase list, expected arrival dates and destination city so the manager can compare consolidated and separate delivery.
