Start with an inventory
Before packing for a move, separate belongings by purpose and urgency. Mark what you will need immediately after arrival and what can follow later. Silk Sky Delivery arranges personal belongings, furniture and appliances between Russia and the UAE; the available transport method depends on the route, weight and dimensions.
What the inventory should include
- A number for each box or separate item.
- A clear contents description and item count.
- Approximate packed weight and external dimensions.
- Notes on fragility, dismantled furniture and protection needs.
Separate urgent items from bulky cargo
A small set of essential clothing and household items can be quoted separately for faster delivery. Sea freight in 40–60 days is available for large loads from the UAE to Russia. Do not assume the same sea option runs in reverse: the services page specifies UAE → Russia. Request two quotes if you want to split the move, including the cost of separate handovers.
Describe furniture and appliances separately
Before pickup, provide large-item dimensions and access details: floor, lift availability, vehicle access and any dismantling needs. Photos help select corner protection, reinforced packaging or a frame. Packing work is agreed separately. Do not place unlisted small items inside appliances: the receiving team needs to know what each package contains.
Arrange receipt at the new address
Confirm who will receive the cargo, a reachable phone number and unloading arrangements. The sender need not attend every stage, but addresses and instructions must be accurate. On receipt, compare package numbers against the inventory and inspect the packaging. Record visible damage immediately and contact the manager. A detailed belongings list will produce a more useful quote than a general request to move an apartment.
